Immune Kidney Diseases (IKD) encompass a group of immune-mediated inflammatory conditions affecting the kidney, e.g. including IgA nephropathy (IgAN), focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), minimal change disease (MCD), membranous nephropathy (MN), membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN) as well as systemic immune mediated disorders such as small vessel vasculitides (AAV, Anti-GBM) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), transplant-related GN (tGN), and other immune-mediated glomerular disorders. Despite being rare diseases, IKDs account for 10–20% of patients requiring dialysis or kidney transplantation in the UK.
